What is Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday is a global day of generosity held the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This year, HBAV members and partners are using it to rally behind the next generation of the trades.

The HBAV Education Foundation

Since 1963, the Foundation has funded scholarships, classroom microgrants, apprenticeship programs and student competitions through local home builders associations and schools across the Commonwealth.

Why it matters

Every program the Foundation funds puts a student on a jobsite, in a lab or in front of an employer. Your gift is tax-deductible and goes straight to the programs that build Virginia's workforce.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes. The HBAV Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, so your gift is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You'll receive an emailed receipt when you give, and a year-end giving statement for your tax records.

Does it matter which board member I give through?

Every gift supports the same Foundation programs. Giving through a board member simply credits their goal and their place on the leaderboard.

Can I give by check?

Yes. Make your check payable to HBAV Education Foundation and mail it to 1051 East Cary Street, Suite 1400, Richmond, VA 23219. Write the board member's name on the memo line if you'd like it credited to them.
